Job description:
High-end residential construction company located in Southwestern Fairfield County, CT seeks one highly motivated individual with at least 6 years of experience as a field supervisor in residential construction. 

Our business is heavily focused on customer service, and meeting the needs of our clients is paramount to its success. The right candidate must:

• Be extremely customer-service-oriented and have a discerning eye for quality and craftsmanship
• Have a strong understanding of all aspects of residential construction, with a clear ability to read plans, effectively write and maintain project schedules, and meet deadlines

Required skills:

• Ability to manage more than one project at a time
• Ability to coordinate, manage, and direct many subcontractors at a time
• Computer knowledge with a general understanding of MS Word, emailing, etc.
• Extremely strong communication skills
• Time management skills

• Organizational skills

Experience: 

• Extensive experience in overseeing all aspects of residential home building and remodeling
• High-End Residential Supervisor: 6 years minimum (Preferred)

Special Notes: 

• Candidate must have a clean driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Our job sites are 100% NON-SMOKING environments

• Candidates who do not already reside in the Fairfield County, CT/Westchester area will not be considered

Work schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends)

Compensation: $100,000/year + Bonus

This isn't your typical estimating position.

• You'll become one of two Senior Estimators, each responsible for managing your own portfolio of projects from completed design through signed construction contract and production handoff
• You'll own your projects
• You'll develop relationships with our homeowners, architects, interior designers, and subcontractors
• You'll make decisions
• You'll solve problems

And while you'll have complete ownership of your work, you'll also have another experienced estimator down the hall whenever you want a second opinion or another perspective.

What You'll Do: 

• Review architectural drawings and project specifications
• Perform quantity takeoffs
• Develop detailed scopes of work
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals
• Meet with subcontractors on site
• Prepare detailed construction estimates
• Write homeowner construction contracts
• Prepare production packages for field supervisors
• Coordinate project turnover into production
• Continuously improve estimating systems and processes

Qualifications:

• Experience estimating residential remodeling or custom homes
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods
• Ability to confidently read architectural drawings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Desire to continually improve both themselves and the systems around them

Preferred software experience: Bluebeam Revu, Buildertrend, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
Experience with construction management software and emerging AI tools is a plus.

Compensation: $100,000–$125,000 depending on experience
