TR Building & Remodeling, Inc., was established in 2003. Owners Todd Drury and Rick Krug recognized a need in the business of building and remodeling high-end residential homes. It was an opportunity to offer a far superior experience to homeowners who were either renovating, adding on, or building new.

They aimed to provide far better service and communication, exceptional design, and thoroughly documented plans, resulting in a highly predictable and much more enjoyable experience for all.

The old process focused on price and more often than not ignored client experience, quality, service, and predictability. Plans often lacked detail which lead to cost overruns and schedule delays. Seeing these challenges firsthand, Todd and Rick founded TR Design Build with a better process

—one that prioritizes transparency, precision, and a superior client experience.

The Design-Build model. Instead of working separately where there's an independent architect, an outside designer, and a builder who's brought in at the end, Todd and Rick decided to pull all of these pieces together under one roof. This created great efficiencies making projects faster, smoother, more predictable, and more enjoyable for homeowners. With this new approach, Todd and Rick weren’t just building houses...they were building a whole new business that was much more desirable to homeowners than what had been offered before.
